The best-selling products on the market are no longer the large systems

The best-selling products on the market are no longer the large (often over-priced and placed in the wrong type of property) systems,  aimed at getting the maximum revenue from the RHI scheme.

Today’s market leaders are smaller and designed to fit in the kitchen or living room as warm focal point and heart of the home.

At our recent trade event on “Remewable Energy for Rural Heating” Andrew Bell from FirePower told the story of how he got involved in biomass boilers.

Converting his own 3 bedroom ex-council house from an inefficient oil system to a Klover biomass boiler reduced his heating costs from £1500 to £780 per year for all hot water and heating.

There wasn’t space for a large system installation, so he opted for the Klover Star 18 Wood Pellet Boiler Stove.

This Defra-approved in-room pellet boiler with internal hopper runs at 90% efficiency. The Star 18 has a highly effective hot-air system that gives out 5.2kW to the room and 12.7kW to water. It has a contemporary, streamlined design, and its outer door has a mirror finish that becomes transparent as the stove gets hot. The Star 18 is available in a range of colours (ivory, red, silver and matt black) and a choice of two tops: hand-decorated ceramic (top right image) and flat steel (top middle).

The Klover Star 14 wood pellet boiler stove qualifies for the RHI biomass grant, this provides payments to people who use renewable energy to heat their homes.  Click on the link to find out how much you could receive.
