What is Biomass?
Biomass is a renewable energy source that has in recent years become a cheaper and cleaner alternative to fossil fuels for domestic and commercial heating purposes.
The word ‘biomass’ refers to any and all sources of biologically captured energy and includes things like bio-ethanol for powering vehicles. The most abundant source of biomass fuel for boilers though is wood in the form of either logs, chips or pellets and each of our boilers is specially designed to burn a particular source of biomass fuel most efficiently.
Upgrading to a biomass boiler also brings a host of other benefits including self-ignition and stylish design.
How does It work?
The Biomass cycle is a renewable energy source. If the energy supply is managed sustainably and levels of production match consumption, it is effectively carbon-neutral.
CHANGE THE WAY YOU HEAT YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS
Many of our boilers are self-igniting, saving all the hassle of lighting a solid-fuel stove.
Switching to a biomass boiler typically results in a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions of over 90%
