Biomass is a renewable energy source that has in recent years become a cheaper and cleaner alternative to fossil fuels for domestic and commercial heating purposes.
The word ‘biomass’ refers to any and all sources of biologically captured energy and includes things like bio-ethanol for powering vehicles. The most abundant source of biomass fuel for boilers though is wood in the form of logs, wood chips or wood pellets and each of our boilers is specially designed to burn a particular source of biomass fuel most efficiently.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme
£9,000 Grant
If you live in the UK, you may qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), offering grants to support the installation of heat pumps and biomass boilers in your home or non-domestic building. Grants of £7,500 are currently available for heat pumps, increasing to £9,000 from the 21st of July 2026 for households replacing oil or LPG boilers, while biomass boilers are eligible for grants of £5,000.
